Today, October 16, is World Food Day and this year’s theme is “Our Actions are Our Future.” Our future depends on our ability to nourish the world and achieve #ZeroHunger by 2030. Fulfilling this goal means promoting sustainable agriculture, reducing food waste and increasing food security by saving heirloom seeds, protecting biodiversity, improving soil health and increasing resiliency against climate change. This World Food Day, we are invited to rethink our current food system and take action. One of the ways we can do this is by empowering farmers to practice sustainable agriculture to cultivate wholesome, nutrient-rich food without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides while managing nature resources and protecting the environment. Farmers are on the frontlines of securing our food supply and protecting biodiversity through the heirloom seeds they save and wider variety of crops they grow. We all have a role to play in working towards #ZeroHunger. Shumei International promotes Natural Agriculture around the world and here are more ways you can support #ZeroHunger: https://bit.ly/ZFZsmI
