Soil is a finite natural resource. However, there is a global increase in soil degradation due to improper and unsustainable agriculture and land management practices. That’s why each year, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations observes World Soil Day on December 5th to focus worldwide attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources.
