UPDATES FROM COPENHAGEN
Shumei held a panel discussion on 12 December in Copenhagen entitled “Organic Solutions to Climate Change and Food Security” at the Klimaforum09 also known as the peoples’ climate summit. This is the global civil society counterpart of the official United Nations COP-15 Climate Change Conference held in Copenhagen from 7 to 18 December. Shumei received official observer status to COP-15 and has been attending sessions being held at the Bella Center. The Shumei booklet on “Organic Solutions to Climate Change and Food Security” is being distributed at the official COP-15 conference venue.
